Surrounded by the naturally stunning, year-round beauty of the Swiss Alps, The Chedi Andermatt nestles elegantly among the traditional ski chalets so characteristic of this timelessly charming village in the Urseren Valley.
The Chedi Andermatt perfectly combines authentic Alpine chic with Asian design elements. The five-star deluxe hotel has 123 spacious rooms and suites in which traditional materials, such as warm woods and natural stone, create a stylish and intimate atmosphere. The hotel also offers a variety of excellent dining experiences, with guests enjoying the choice of eight outstanding restaurants and bars. Guests can find peace and relaxation in the unique Spa and Health Club, covering some 2,400 m².
In the 123 tastefully decorated rooms and suites Alpine chic meets Asian elegance, with stunning views over the Gemsstock, the village of Andermatt, the Schöllenenschlucht gorge, the Nätschen and the Oberalp area. Dark Alpine wood, soft leather armchairs, cosy sofas, panorama windows and open fireplaces bring the magic of the mountain landscape into the comfortable, spacious rooms. Large bathtubs adorn bathrooms which boast heated, natural stone floors and separate rain showers. The doors to these spacious bathrooms can be closed in stages, offering guests the possibility of increasing the size of the living space or enjoying the privacy of a separate bathroom.
The Chedi Andermatt has 31 Deluxe Rooms (52 to 55 m2), 13 Grand Deluxe Rooms (52 to 55 m2, upper floors), four Junior Deluxe Suites (90 m2), fifty Deluxe Suites (110 m2), 23 Grand Deluxe Suites (190 m2), one Gemsstock Suite (134 m2) and one Furka Suite (330 m2).
The cuisine at The Chedi Andermatt is a gastronomic statement, offering guests the choice of eight outstanding dining venues. In The Restaurant, four show kitchens serving Asian and European fare tempt guests with dishes prepared before their very eyes. The Japanese Restaurant is unique in the Swiss Alps, offering all the pleasure of authentic Japanese delicacies at the sushi and sashimi bar and at the teppanyaki and tempura counter.
Boasting 15 GaultMillau points each, both restaurants are overseen by Executive Chef Dietmar Sawyere.
Five minutes on foot from The Chedi Andermatt is The Club House. Guests can savour culinary delights from mountain regions around the globe while admiring the views over the Gemsstock and the Furka mountains or enjoying the mountain sun on the stunning terrace. The Wine & Cigar Library is the perfect place to while away the evening, inspired by a fine selection of literature and sumptuously illustrated books. The Bar and Living Room is an ideal après-ski meeting place
Wellness lovers can visit the spa and take advantage of several baths and saunas (including an organic sauna and a Finnish sauna), a steam bath, a warm- and cold-water plunge pool, a hammam, an ice fountain and flower baths.
