Peisey-Vallandry

On the western side of Les Arcs Massif, this small resort is a bit quieter than its more famous neighbours, making it popular with families.

Ski area

Linked to Les Arcs and La Plagne, Peisey-Vallandry has nine lifts stretching across 37 kilometres of terrain, including 1 green run, 13 blue, 9 red and 2 black. As it is west-facing you can expect plenty of sunshine.

Accommodation

Peisey-Vallandry has two main towns – Landry and its hamlets lie between 700 and 1,000 metres altitude and Peisey and its hamlets between 1,300 and 1,600 metres.

Off-piste

Peisey-Vallandry has a cinema and activities including snowshoeing, fat biking, ice climbing, dog sledding, sleigh rides and paragliding. While the après ski scene is tamer than at other Paradiski resorts, there’s plenty of fun to be had at Le Jimmy’s Bar on the mountain.

Paradiski

The second-largest linked ski area in the world, Paradiski provides access to 425 kilometres of terrain in the Tarentaise Valley. Its three resorts – Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne – are linked by the Vanoise Express cable car.

Paradiski has 160 lifts, with 152 green/blue runs, 79 red and 22 black. Around 70 per cent of the skiable domain is over 2000 metres.
A weekly lift ticket in Paradiski gives skiers a choice to ski one day in each of its neighbour ski areas of Espace Killy (Val d’Isère and Tignes) and The Three Valleys (CourchevelLa TaniaMeribelLes MenuiresVal Thorens ).
